My main research interest is searching for new bioactive compounds from marine psychrophilic or psychrotolerant bacteria from MalpequeBay by using unique media and diverse culture conditions to stimulate the production of novel secondary metabolites. Fermentation media are analyzed using various spectrometric and spectroscopic methods to isolate and identify these bioactive compounds.
