Fabrice Berrue

Research Interests:

Drug discovery program focussed on marine invertebrates and microorganisms: Biological & chemical screening, extraction, assay-guided fractionation, purification and characterization of bioactive secondary metabolites.Extensive study on secondary metabolites present in the gorgonian Erythropodium caribaeorum (EC): Compound inventory mainly focused on terpenoids which could be involved in eleutherobin biosynthesis.Chemical screening of EC bacterial community to reveal the bacterial origin for secondary metabolites previously isolated from the coral. The presence of eleutherobin and related compounds is our main objective.
