Research Interests:
Although my interests include the discovery and characterization of novel bioactive compounds produced by marine bacteria, more recently my research has been focused on those secondary metabolites produced by Eunicea fusca. In this project, I will be developing a library of glycosides, which will be screened for anti-inflammatory activity. I am also investigating other extracts and fractions from this coral in the pursuit of elucidating the biosynthetic pathway of these glycosides.
