The Kerr Lab is ideally located on the University of Prince Edward Island campus in Charlottetown, PE. The bacterial and chemical divisions of the lab are centred in the Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre. The lab has recently added a fungal division as well, which is located primarily in the new addition to the Atlantic Veterinary College, the ACCBR (Atlantic Centre for Comparative Biomedical Research). Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre
The Regis and Joan Duffy Resaerch Centre, just opened in 2007, is home to researchers from UPEI, the National Research Council Institute for Nutrisciences and Health (NRC-INH), and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Here they share knowledge, lab space, and specialized equipment and tools as they explore how natural compounds can be used to prevent and treat disease in animals and humans, contributing to the island's growing bioscience cluster.
The chemical division of the Kerr Research lab is principally centred on the fourth floor, while the bacterial division is located on the fifth floor. The Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre boasts an open concept lab environment, which facilitates both the sharing of equipment and knowledge among the researchers.

Atlantic Centre for Comparative Biomedical Research
The Atlantic Centre for Comparative Biomedical Research (ACCBR) is a central research facility located in the newly expanded Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). The ACCBR exists to encourage inter-disciplinary comparative biomedical research benefiting both human and animal health. By providing a central laboratory area with specialized research suites, the goal of the ACCBR is to facilitate and encourage collaborative research among basic and clinical researchers from the Atlantic Veterinary College, the University of Prince Edward Island and other Atlantic universities.
